You may leave a message for her at the church office. RELIGIOUS EDUCATION NOTICES Good News! Pre-Registration for School of Religion will take place on two weekends this summer: July 10 and 11 August 14 and 15 Look for us in the narthex after Masses. Once again, we will offer DISCOUNTED rates for SOR tuition during these weekends only. Rates will be $25 per student, with a max of $75 per family. After these weekends, rates will be $30 per student. Please bring a copy of each child's baptism certificate with you, if you have not enrolled before. We will accept cash (please have exact change, if possible) or your personal check. The first day of SOR will be: Wednesday, September 1st at 6:00 pm with Family Dinner Night. Welcome Back! Confirmation and First Communion Photos Confirmation photos are in, and you may also order First Communion photos. Please call the office and leave a message for Jessica, if you'd wish to view photos and place an order. Thursday Morning Adult Bible Study We will occasionally meet in the summer; watch your email and this website for announcements. Information on Children's Religious Ed Programs and Sacramental Requirements All children at St. Paul's are encouraged to attend catechism classes, and these classes are also necessary before receiving any sacraments. Attendance is encouraged for all school years, ending in 10th grade. In sacramental years (RCIC, Grade 2, Grade 10), students may not miss more than 5 classes. At pastor's discretion, missing more time could jeopardize your child's receiving the sacrament. It is important to be punctual, as we only have one precious hour with your child. Children are required to have 2 years of religious education or one year of RCIC classes in order to receive sacraments. Confirmation year consists of 9th and 10th grade, and both are required to receive Confirmation. We have chosen the Loyola Press program, "Finding God" for our SOR classes, which has been approved by the U.S. Council of Bishops and Archbishop Gregory's own religious education advisors.
